Posted:

Metro has fired the bus driver photographed texting while driving a crowed bus reported the Washington Examiner.

The photo was taken by a rider on February 19 and was first reported on the blog page Unsuck DC Metro. The driver was fired Thursday.

It is the latest case of Metro drivers using cell phone while on the job.

The agency put into effect a zero tolerance policy in July of 2009 on using cell phones while driving company vehicles.
