New $20,000 Reward Offered To Solve Murder of 19-Year-Old Fairfax County Woman Vanessa Pham

A private reward of $20,000 is being offered to help solve the mystery of what happened to Vanessa Pham.

It has been one year since she was found dead inside her car in a ditch off of Arlington Boulevard. The Falls Church woman was last seen in surveillance video leaving the Fairfax Plaza Shopping Center on Gallows Road. The car was found crashed about half an hour later. (Photos of Pham's car below)

Police said her injuries were inconsistent with the accident. Her mother, Julie, her cousin, Tracy To, and a few dozen classmates turned out at the Vienna Town Green for a picnic on Monday to honor her memory. A memorial bench in the park area has been inscribed with her name and friends have left flowers there.

The new reward is being offered by a family friend and is being added to the $1,000 Crimesolvers reward. Police and the family are hoping the $21,000 will provide incentive for someone to step forward with information.
