Vanessa Pham Had Facebook Status Updated Before Her Death

Friends of murdered college student Vanessa Pham have been going over the timeline leading up to her death as they try to figure out why someone would kill her.

Surveillance video police released showed her car entering the Fairfax Plaza Shopping Center at about 3 p.m. on June 27.

Minutes later, her friends say a status update appeared on her Facebook page that said "Call me Fran Drescher...I'm a nanny!"

Her friends took note because they knew she had been looking for summer work as a nanny. They say she had an interview that day and had also posted an ad on Craigslist.

Fairfax County Police would not say if that is something they are investigating.

Investigators are hoping somebody in a nearby car or truck might have spotted something suspicious.

Police say she stopped at a nail salon. Then at 3:24 p.m., her car is seen exiting the parking lot.

Ten minutes later, she was found dead behind the wheel of her car a half a mile away, which had crashed into a ditch.

America's Most Wanted is now asking its viewers to phone in tips.
