FBI agents say a serial bank robber is carrying out his own "March Madness" right now. They believe he's responsible for three bank robberies in 15 days. There's a twist in his trail. Agents say he robbed the same TCF bank branch on Devon Avenue in Park Ridge - twice. They say the 'double dip' bandit hit this bank on March 5th and again on the 15th.
A bank security camera photo shows him actually reaching in to the teller's drawer for the money.
Agents add he also hit another TCF branch, this one on Chicago's northwest side on March 1st.
Like most serial bank robber, investigators believe the bandit will continue until he gets caught. The FBI's Ross Rice say, "They've gone over that threshold of breaking the law. They've convinced themselves they can do this. So they'll start repeat offending. They'll continue to rob banks in most cases until they're apprehended."
Here's what agents say the 'double dip' bandit looks like. He is described as a white male, about six feet tall, weighing around 190 pounds, with a medium build, dark brown hair and a mustache.
He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call police.
