Chicago's Most Wanted Credit Union bandits

Chicago FBI agents want your help tracking down a pair of robbers who knocked over a south suburban credit union in broad daylight.

Investigators say the duo robbed the Sherwin Williams Credit Union in Harvey at around 10am on Wednesday, August 18th. Employees were just arriving for work when agents say a gunman forced his way in to the Myrtle Avenue business. Once inside, the gunman allegedly used zip ties to bind the tellers' hands and cuffed the security guard with his own handcuffs. After grabbing money from the vault, agents say the gunman called to a getaway driver who picked him up at the bank's front entrance. Some witnesses say the getaway driver drove right past them as they left the credit union parking lot. The getaway car is described as a silver 2007 or newer model Chevy impala or Malibu with an Illinois license plate in back but the front one may be missing. Witnesses also say the gunman used a dark revolver and carried the money out in a very large, dark duffel bag.

This same credit union was robbed in October 2009 in a similar fashion but no suspects have been arrested in that case. Agents are trying to determine if these two robberies are connected.

Right now, they have little to go on regarding what the latest suspects look like.

Witnesses describe the gunman as a black male, about five feet eleven inches tall, with a thin build, last seen wearing all black clothing, black dress shoes and dark gloves.

The getaway driver is also described as a black male, weighing around 200 pounds or more, with a fade hair cut and a well trimmed beard covering his face with thin connecting lines.

The FBI is offering a ten thousand dollar reward for any information leading to the arrest of these suspects. They are considered armed and dangerous. If you see either one of them, call police
