For our Good Day Prep Star of the Week, we're going bowling in the southwest suburbs.
Morgan Flaherty is a junior at Lincoln-Way West in New Lenox, and her performance in the Girls Bowling State Finals last weekend was flat out phenomenal. Not only she win state, but her two day average was 230.3.
Flaherty became the first athlete in school history to win a state title with a dominating performance at the state finals at Cherry Bowl Lanes. Flaherty led wire-to-wire Saturday and finished with a two-day total of 2,764 pins.
It was the third highest score in the 40 year history of the state finals and 80 pins better than runner-up Nicole Powell of Sandburg.
Our Congrats go to Flaherty, who is the first state champ in Lincoln-Way West history.
