CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are searching for a man who stopped his van to take pictures of a teenage boy and then drove off in west suburban Wheaton last week.

A man in a van pulled alongside the teen, who was walking to a bus stop at Wexford Circle and Creekside Drive about 7:30 a.m. on Friday, according to a release from Wheaton police. The man did not stop the van or speak to the boy.

The boy told police the same man pulled his van to the curb on Wexford Circle to take photos of the boy and a friend while they were playing outside last December, the release said. The suspect did not speak to the boys and left the area.

The man is described as possibly Hispanic, about 40 with black hair and acne marks on his face, the release said. He was driving an older teal-colored van with silver-colored lower trim, possibly a Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna, the release said.

Schools in the area were notified and police continue to search for the suspect.

Anyone with information should call Cmdr. James Volpe at (630) 260-2055.
