Everyone is buzzing about the lovely and talented Nia Long and her Ebony Magazine cover. In case you missed it on Good Day today...Nia is the latest pregnant celeb to pose nude for a magazine. She looks absolutely radiant on the cover (I'm a huge Nia Long fan). Now Demi Moore started the trend back in 91'...since then celebs like Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, and Britney Spears have joined in. I guess Beyonce will be next....I'm sure she will rock her cover too. I bet she will do Vanity Fair, like Demi. However, when is enough, enough?
Here's my take: I think its great that all these lovely women are promoting being pregnant and beautiful. However I am over all these mag covers. At the end of the day these celebs are just pimping out their baby bumps to the highest bidder. They should just hire top photographers like Anne Leibovitz, to take private pics of them for their own personal enjoyment. It was great when Demi did it back in the 90's. Women back then didn't really embrace their bumps. They didn't expose their bellies in pics, or wear form fitted clothing. The thought of being a "Hot Mama To Be" didn't really exist. Women walked around in tents and flats, anything to cover up the belly. Demi's pic showed women it's ok to be sexy and pregnant...to embrace the changes happening to your body. She was the first to do it and in my opinion the best one by far! What do you guys think? Are you done with these magazine covers?
