WASHINGTON (AP) - Real estate mogul and reality TV star Donald Trump joined federal and local leaders yesterday for a ceremonial groundbreaking at the Old Post Office building in downtown Washington. He hopes its $200 million transformation into a Trump International Hotel will be complete by late 2016.

WASHINGTON (AP) - U.S. Capitol Police say a South Carolina man was arrested after officers found a gun in his bag when he tried to enter the Cannon Building. Officer Shennell Antrobus, a Capitol Police spokesman, said in an email that 59-year-old Ronald William Prestage of Camden tried to enter the building, which houses congressional office yesterday morning.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The District of Columbia's former chief administrative law judge has admitted to ethics violations and agreed to pay a $20,000 fine. The Washington Post reports Mary Oates Walker signed a settlement and admitted to the violations Tuesday, ending a trial before the city's ethics board.

WASHINGTON (AP) - A granddaughter of the man who named the NFL's Washington Redskins says the team should change its name. Sixty-five-year-old Jordan Wright of Alexandria tells The Washington Post if just one person says they're offended by the team's name, then that should be reason enough to change it.
