WASHINGTON (AP) - Police say they have arrested 112 people for blocking traffic outside the White House during a protest against U.S. policies on deporting migrants in the country illegally. Immigration activists and religious leaders urged President Barack Obama to immediately halt deportation.

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - Prince George's County Police say a woman was killed when she was hit by a bus in Upper Marlboro. It happened yesterday morning on Main and Water Streets. Police say officers arrived to find the woman trapped under the bus. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The only son of former D.C mayor Marion Barry has been jailed for driving on a revoked license. Christopher Barry has had several recent brushes with the law, including an arrest in May near the White House for DUI. His license had already been revoked, and he was ordered not to drive until further notice.

WASHINGTON (AP) - A man has been charged with stabbing a transgender girl on a Metro train. Metro Transit police say Reginald Klaiber has been charged with stabbing a 15-year-old on a Green Line train as it approached the Fort Totten station yesterday. Klaiber could face additional penalties for a hate crime.
