
A Metrobus was taken out of service Monday after a teen threw an unknown substance at the driver.
Authorities say the incident occurred just before 3:30 p.m. Monday while the bus was stopped at Ainger Place and Alabama Avenue in Southeast D.C.
The 41-year-old driver was taken to a local hospital, but the unknown substance does not appear to be harmful.
Passengers on the bus were unharmed.
No arrest has been made.
Authorities say there is a surveillance camera on the bus. Metro Transit Police are investigating the incident.
