ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - A passenger in a car driven by a man who was killed in a road rage incident described how a police detective shot his friend. Adam Pidel testified yesterday that he and Joseph Harvey froze when Joseph Walker, pulled a gun on them after the two drivers pulled over following some traffic jostling. Walker is charged with first-degree murder.

HEBRON, Md. (AP) - Authorities say a 241-year-old church on the National Register of Historic Places has been ravaged by fire in Maryland. The fire was reported at St. Paul's Episcopal Church just before noon yesterday. The Rev. Ronald Knapp tells The Daily Times of Salisbury that the building had been there since 1773.

BALTIMORE (AP) - A federal judge says a political candidate whose last name is Hershey must stop using campaign materials that mimic the look of the famous chocolate bar. The judge said Maryland state Sen. Stephen Hershey Jr. must stop using his dark brown signs with white lettering.

SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) - Montgomery County police say an officer shot and killed a man after police were called to a bank in Silver Spring for a reported trespasser. The shooting occurred shortly before noon Tuesday at the Capital One branch on Arliss Street.
