MILLERSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Four people are seriously hurt after a car crash that closed Interstate 97 in Anne Arundel County. Investigators say a car went off the highway today about 8:20 a.m. and hit a tree in Millersville. Investigators say three people were ejected from the vehicle.

RESTON, Va. (AP) - Metro says the new silver line makes the Washington region's transit system 10 percent larger with the addition of five new stations. The first train departed Reston yesterday after about 50 years of planning and more than 5 years of construction.

BEAR, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have arrested two suspects in a shooting at a shopping center parking lot in Bear. Police announced yesterday that troopers have arrested 18-year-old Brandon Burns of Newark and 23-year-old Rebecca Evans of Newark. Police say Burns shot a 23-year-old man once yesterday.

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) - A drawbridge that got stuck in the upright position blocking Route 50 into Ocean City has been reopened to cars. Maryland State Highway Administration officials say the Harry W. Kelley Memorial Bridge reopened to traffic yesterday evening by about 8 p.m. The bridge on Route 50 became stuck in the open position yesterday as a result of a mechanical issue.
