ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - The U.S. Naval Academy has broken ground on a new $41 million health clinic. Officials broke ground for the clinic yesterday, and the new building is expected to be finished as early as November 2015. The first patient is expected to be treated at the clinic in March 2016.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a man died while boating in Anne Arundel County. Police from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources were called around 5:30 p.m. yesterday to Plum Creek, which is off the Severn River in Crownsville.

NEWARK, Del. (AP) - The Blood Bank of Delmarva, which supplies blood to 16 area hospitals, says its running low on Type O-negative blood. A spokesman for the nonprofit says the type is always in high demand because it can be safely transfused to any patient in a trauma or emergency situation.

BOSTON (AP) - Jonathan Schoop went 4 for 5 with two doubles and two RBIs, and the Baltimore Orioles pounded Red Sox starter John Lackey in an 8-4 victory over Boston yesterday. Every Orioles starter had at least one hit except for Chris Davis. The Orioles collected 10 of those hits off Lackey, who surrendered six earned runs over 5 1-3 innings.
