Person Hit By Train at Brookland Metro

Authorities say a person was hit and killed by a Metro train on Friday night at the Brookland Metro Station in Northeast D.C. The accident caused delays on the Red Line around the station.

A student was stabbed in the hallway of a D.C. charter school on Friday afternoon. A fellow student was arrested. The assault happened at the Young America Works Vocational Charter School on Chillum Place in Northeast Washington.

Police Continue Search For Stolen Urn

U.S. Park Police are searching for a stolen urn containing the ashes of a decorated U.S. Army veteran. Park Police say the urn was stolen from a parked car in the 300 block of Jefferson Drive in southwest Washington on Nov. 12. The incident was first reported to D.C. police, but Park Police have taken over the investigation since the theft happened in their jurisdiction.

Arrest in DC Shop Owner's Murder

Police say they've made an arrest in the murder of a D.C. business owner who was murdered during a robbery at her liquor store. Rufina Hernandez was shot and killed inside her store on November 7, and now police say one of two suspects is in custody.
