Here's the FOX 5 Top 5 for Wednesday, November 11, 2009:
#5: Childhood obesity is on the rise, but a new study claims a lack of exercise is not to blame. No word yet what's to blame, but it determined teen exercise levels over a 16-year span didn't change enough to affect obesity rates. Researchers say teens should stay active.
#4: Electronics giant Best Buy is getting into the health and fitness business. Select Best Buy stores including some in Maryland will sell a variety of products from yoga mats and pedometers to treadmills and elliptical machines. They're hoping to expand their customer base.
#3: Wal-Mart is opening overnight on Black Friday, and will and stay open for 24 hours. The retailer hopes it will prevent long lines and mad dashes. Federal safety regulators cited Wal-Mart for inadequate crowd control after a security guard was trampled to death last year.
#2: Citibank customers, listen up: Starting in February, you'll be charged $7.50 a month if your balance falls below $1,500. The new fees apply to customers with access or E-Z checking accounts.
#1: It's not just a danger to your kids. New research shows exposure to high levels of the chemical used to harden plastic called Bisphenol-A could significantly raise the risk of sexual dysfunction in men, including impotence. BPA is found in everything from plastic water bottles to cars.
