STANLEY, Va. - The National Weather Service said Thursday that a tornado did indeed cause the damage that was left behind in a round of nasty storms that pummeled parts of Page County, Virginia on Wednesday.

The tornado, which was an EF 1 tornado according to the National Weather Service, touched down around 6:45 p.m. in the community of Stanley, Virginia. That's located in Page County.

The twister's winds were estimated at 90 to 100 miles per hour, and hail was reported-- in some cases as large as the size of baseballs.

Several FOX 5 viewers sent in photos of the damage in the area, including a mobile home that was destroyed and damage to a double-decker chicken house.
