Metro's Red Line Delayed Due To Broken Rail

WASHINGTON - Metro is warning riders to expect major delays on the red line due to a cracked rail near the Tenleytown station.
The transit agency says trains are sharing a track in both directions between the Friendship Heights and Van Ness stations.
The disruption is expected to last during the morning commute.
Metro says every other red line train will be turning back to Silver Spring station at Farragut North due to the single-tracking.
