FOX 5 Mascot Madness

Wednesday marks the second ever FOX 5 Mascot Madness!

We have invited the leading local mascots to come out and represent their team and to compete to be the best mascot in the area!

FOX 5's Holly Morris and Tony Perkins have more!

Meet The Mascots:

G-Wiz - Washington Wizards
G-Wiz has appeared at over 1,500 events around the DC area. Performed world wide in places like Mexico and Holland. Has sprayed more silly string than a mascot should be allowed.

Screech - Washington Nationals
This past winter, "Screech" grew from a baby bird into his teenage feathers and is ready to cheer the Nationals to victory in 2009.

Talon - D.C. United
Talon happily spends his time training United's younger players on the perfect full volley and cheering on his brothers as they play before the D.C. United faithful.

Slapshot - Washington Captials
Slapshot, official mascot to the Washington Capitals Hockey Club, has been entertaining at games for the past 4 years.

Cardinal - Catholic University
The "Cardinal" has been a part of CUA athletics and Alumni activities for many years.

Uncle Slam - Potomac Nationals
Uncle Slam loves watching P-Nats games, helping with on-field contests at the Pfitz, meeting fans, going to community events, signing autographs and playing baseball.

Jack - Georgetown University Hoyas
One of the most recognized figures on campus, Jack the Bulldog spends his time celebrating life on the Hilltop and cheering for Hoya sports.

Louie - Bowie Baysox
Louie, the Bowie Baysox loveable mascot, loves to watch the Baysox win.

Clawed the Eagle - American University
