Teen Says MySpace Date Led To Stabbing, Rape

FAIRFAX COUNTY - A 17-year-old Fairfax County girl wound up in the hospital with stab wounds after arranging a date on MySpace, the social networking site. The girl told police she was also raped.

27-year-old Rony Herrera Deleon, also of Fairfax County, has been arrested and charged with two sexual assault counts, malicious wounding, and abduction.

According to police documents, the date began around 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
The pair was supposed to share a meal and see a movie at Tysons Corner.

But, after Deleon picked up the girl, he told her he needed to stop at his "aunt's house" in Annandale.
The teen went in willingly.

She told investigators, however, that once she was inside, she was sexually assaulted then stabbed multiple times.

The victim told police she was sexually assaulted again, then her assailant tried to clean up the blood with towels.

The teenager managed to get away from her assailant, and call for help.

She was treated at a local hospital, and detectives began interviewing her there.

The teenager described the weapon used to stab her as a "folding knife."

A "return" document connected with a search warrant says police found a folding knife in the vehicle that Deleon was driving in at the time of his arrest.

Deleon remains in custody in the Fairfax Co. Adult Detention Center. His next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 23rd.
