Gov. Tim Kaine is scheduled to assess storm damage in Hampton Roads on Saturday.
The governor's office says he will meet with Hampton city officials in the afternoon and survey damage on the Peninsula. Kaine is then set to meet with Norfolk officials in Ocean View and then survey damage in South Hampton Roads.
Kaine declared a state of emergency for Virginia on Wednesday night, directing state agencies to take steps to respond to the storm.
