HUDSON, NH - A recent town fair giveaway in New Hampshire has a well-known pharmacy under fire.
A mother in neighboring Massachusetts says a Walgreens drug store sponsored a booth at a local fair where they handed out a bag full of free goodies to kids.
What caught her attention was a pill bottle that her six-year old niece was eating candy out of.
She says giving kids a prescription medicine bottle full of candy sends the wrong message.
"Once they're done with their candy or maybe they're thinking 'their medicine', they might want to dip in mom and dad's medicine that they may think is their candy and that is a real concern for me," said concerned parent Kim Gray.
Walgreens sent out a statement from the company's corporate office reading quote "We apologize for this giveaway item at the festival, and will ensure we provide more suitable items in the future."
