It's not too often that the Louisiana IceGators get national media coverage, but head coach Brent Sapergia managed to get everyone's attention after going a little nuts protesting an official's call.

Last weelk Sapergia's team were playing an away game against Pensacola when he took exception to one particular refereeing decision. In fact he was so upset that he decied to throw most of the contents of the bench onto the ice.

First to go was the drinks cooler followed quickly by some towel. Obviously not convinced he had made his point he then moved down the bench and started throwing hockey sticks and rolls of hockey tape on the ice.

This wasn't the first outburst from the coach as Brent Sapergia had an incident during the Louisiana IceGators' previous game. He eventually ran out of "ammunition" and, not surprisingly, Sapergia was ejected from the game and is facing a suspension.

Brent Sapergia is new to the head coach role, having only taken over duties for the Louisiana IceGators last month after the previous head coach stepped down.

Judging by his meltdown, it might be best for the team and his blood pressure if he also goes.
