Highway Message Boards Hacked

Two highway message board signs that usually display traffic alerts to motorists were hacked Thursday.

Several vulgar words were displayed on the signs through the Thursday morning rush-hour.

The two signs are located along eastbound Hain Bridge Road at the George Washington Memorial Parkway and on the Virginia side of the Key Bridge.

The Virginia Department of Transportation is investigating the incident.
