There's a class in Montgomery County that is in such high demand it has a waitlist.
It's for people over 50, and what they're itching to learn about is the cell phone. Senior citizens are not the people you'd expect to be up on all the latest gadgets, but they're trying.
Florence Polinsky wanted to learn more about her cell phone, so she could dazzle her grandchildren.
"One of them said to me, grandma you're a really good cook, but grandpa knows everything," Polinsky said.
In a 20-minute class offered by the non-profit organization Oasis, Florence learned how to retrieve her voicemails and with a helping hand from AT&T, she can now put a number in her address book.
Many of the seniors took notes. Murray Borris wanted to learn how to use his phone to take pictures of someone special-- his granddaughter.
A few seniors say they may even dabble in text messaging-- though the shortcuts are a bit intimidating. One told us "it's almost like a foreign language."
