WILMINGTON, Del. - With Hurricane Earl steaming toward the Atlantic Seaboard, Delaware surfers and other enthusiasts have been talking about the chance to experience the large waves it may produce.
The National Weather Service says waves along the state's resort communities are expected to go from seven feet Thursday to as high as 12 feet on Friday.

The News Journal reports that Dale Loeser, who owns Rohoboth's Quiet Storm surf shop, says: "The talk is that everybody is trying to figure out a game plan on where to go and what time."
Earl was expected to reach the North Carolina coast late Thursday and wheel to the northeast, staying offshore while making its way up the Eastern Seaboard.
