Late-night talk show host David Letterman offered a second apology on Monday to Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (YouTube video) for risque jokes about her daughters and Palin accepted . But that's not enough for the group behind the Web site FireDavidLetterman.com , which still protested outside Letterman's studio in New York on Tuesday afternoon.

"I'm glad he's acknowledged we're right," said John Ziegler, producer of the film "Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted" and one of the press contacts for FireDavidLetterman.com. "I think it's a good first step in the right direction, but I don't think it's enough."

Brian Kolb, a New York State assembleyman who called for Letterman's firing last week , is also involved in the site, which calls upon readers to write to sponsors of Letterman's "Late Show" with a sample letter that reads, in part, "I am appalled that your company supports the rape of young girls." As of Monday, the campaign had resulted in the loss of one Letterman sponsor: The Embassy Suites hotel chain pulled its advertising from the "Late Show" Web site, citing complaints it had received.

"We received lots of e-mails from concerned guests and we assessed that the statement that he made was offensive enough to our guests and prospective guests that we elected to take the ads down," said Embassy Suites spokesperson Kendra Walker.

The controversy stems from a joke Letterman made last Tuesday about Palin's visit to New York: "One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game, during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez." Letterman said the joke was in reference to Palin's 18-year-old daughter Bristol, but Palin made the New York trip with 14-year-old daughter Willow.

As of Tuesday morning, 186 people had signed up for a Facebook invitation to the protest , scheduled to occur during Letterman's taping of "The Late Show."
