LAUREL, Md. - A man is in custody after leading police on a pursuit while driving a moving van. The chase resulted in several accidents along the Baltimore-Washington Parkway Monday.
Prince George’s County Police received a call around 2:15 p.m. Monday regarding a fight between two All My Sons moving company employees in a New Carrolton neighborhood.
Neighbors say the movers were arguing about how to get a heavy piece of furniture out the house.
Police said one of the movers attacked the other with a pair of brass knuckles. The suspect then ran from the house and fled in the moving truck.
Prince George's County Police began their pursuit after the suspect attempted to run a Cheverly police officer off the road.
The truck struck multiple vehicles during the pursuit, running one car off the road and into the woods. The driver of that vehicle is in fair condition with non-life threatening injuries.
After crashing the truck just south of Powder Mill Road, police apprehended the driver at the intersection of Dorsey Run Road and Waterloo Road in Howard County.
The Baltimore-Washington Parkway was shut down for several hours Monday as U.S. Park Police and an accident reconstruction unit investigated.
