GAITHERSBURG, Md. - A dog is helping to protect a girl in our area. Sylvia isn't a trained security dog. Her role is something much more sensitive.

Thirteen-year-old Michelle Brown has Cerebral Palsy. She needed some help getting around, so her parents reached out to a Georgia non-profit called Canine Assistants . They train dogs to help people with physical limitations. Sylvia is a lab retriever mix. She stays by Michelle's side.
