GAITHERSBURG, Md. - Dozens of Gaithersburg victims from last Thursday's storms are getting a new round of help. City officials announced Monday that hotel rooms will be extended indefinitely until permanent housing can be secured.

City Manager Angel Jones said the rooms are only being secured and the hope is that public funds will not be used.

"We think community donations will off-set any costs," said Jones.

City officials have determined 40 residents representing 15 household units are displaced.

Manna Food Center, a non-profit emergency food organization, is providing three days of meals for victims.
