Officials have suspended a Montgomery County program that provides publicly funded training for employees. The program has prompted several investigations.
According to county records the county paid tuition for training including "hot yoga" lessons, glass-fusing art classes, fashion and portrait photography classes and a class called "The Christian Home."
The county's chief administrative officer, Timothy L. Firestine, said in a statement that "serious questions have been raised about the appropriateness of a small number of the hundreds of courses covered by the program."
Officials say no new courses would be approved, pending a review.
The program was launched in the 1970s.
