Police Investigate Deadly Hit and Run

CABIN JOHN, Md. - Police are investigating a deadly hit and run on the outer loop of the beltway in Cabin John, Maryland.

Two cars crashed around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night.

One went over the guard rail near Clara Barton Parkway killing the driver and passenger.

The other driver fled the scene but later crashed into a ditch just across the American Legion Bridge in Virginia.

That driver was arrested.

Police say the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Both crash scenes have been cleared and the roads are open at this time.
