2 Shot, Stabbed in Rockville

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Shots rang out at 3:30 Wednesday morning in the upscale Kingfarm neighborhood in Rockville, leaving one man wounded.

A second man was stabbed.

It all happened in the 400 block of Elmcroft Boulevard.

Police were quick to catch the action, because, according to one law enforcement source, they were following a car with three young males in it who seemed suspicious.

Minutes after the men arrived at a ground floor apartment on the street, shots were fired.

A man who was shot in the stomach was discovered by police two blocks away lying in the grass.

A man stabbed in the arm was also located outside the apartment.

He had been tied up.

Someone came crashing through an apartment sliding glass window.

Three women were apprehended after they fled the apartment.

Police say they don't know what the motive for the violence was.

They are questioning eight people.

Some, they say, are suspects while others are witnesses.

Three of them are young women.
