Expect Weekend Delays on Metro

WASHINGTON (AP) - Metro riders traveling on parts of the red and blue lines should expect delays this weekend because of track maintenance.

Customers traveling on the red line between Fort Totten and Silver Spring and on the blue line between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road should add at least 30 minutes to their travel time.

Metro will be making track circuit upgrades at the red line's the Takoma station. On the blue line, Metro will be replacing concrete slabs underneath the rails.

Trains will share one track in the areas workers are making repairs, causing the delays.
