Woman Fatally Beaten in DC

    Police say a 55-year-old woman was found beaten to death inside her northeast Washington home, and another person was found critically injured.

    Officers discovered Rosa May Fludd-Ross shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday at her home at 3901 35th Street. Police said in a news release that she had suffered "apparent blunt force trauma injuries."

    A second person whose identity was not released was taken to a hospital and admitted in critical condition.
