WASHINGTON D.C. - D.C. Fire officials say an 11-year-old boy was hospitalized after a house fire in northeast Washington.
Fire and EMS department spokesman Pete Piringer says firefighters responded to a home that caught fire in the 1100 block of 50th Place at about 2 a.m. Saturday. Piringer says the nature of the fire is suspicious.
He says medics evaluated the boy and took him to a hospital. Three adults and six children have been displaced because of the fire.
Piringer says authorities are investigating what caused the
blaze.
