WASHINGTON, D.C. - Hundreds of brides-to-be and their teams packed the Filene's Basement store at Mazza Gallerie in Northwest Washington on Friday in hopes of hunting down the perfect wedding gown at an unbelievable price.
The annual sale officially started at 8 a.m., but the ladies lined up much earlier than that. Once the doors opened, it was every bride for herself.
Filene's holds the sale each year, and customers literally
pounce on the deals. Dresses that are normally as much as $10,000
are priced between $249 and $699. In today's tough economy, the
store was expecting a larger crowd than ever before.
