Two Shot, One Dead in NE DC

D.C. Police are searching for the suspect or suspects responsible for shooting two people in Northeast Washington on Wednesday night, one of them fatally.

It happened around 8:50 p.m. in the 1200 block of 44th Street NE. Police were called to the scene because of a possible accident, and when the arrived at the scene they found two men who had been shot.

One of the victims, 37-year-old Babacar Ndiaye of Oxon Hill, Maryland, was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The second victim remains in critical condition at an area hospital. His name has not been released as he is a potential witness in the case.
