GAITHERSBURG, Md. - Montgomery County Police say a 24-year-old housekeeper was raped while she was cleaning a room at a motel in Gaithersburg on Thursday afternoon.
It happened just after noon at the Motel 6 on Quince Orchard Road. Investigators say the motel room door was open and her cart was sitting outside the room where the attack took place.
According to police, the victim heard the door slam and a masked man she didn't know came into the room with her. They say he raped her, and then got away in a green, four-door vehicle.
The suspect is described as a dark-skinned man who is about 6'0" tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing a green sweater, black pants, and a gold necklace. He was also wearing a mask.
Police say the suspect was last seen driving the green vehicle from the back of the building to the front. Anyone with information about the crime or the suspect is asked to call Montgomery County Police.
