A flight attendant and a passenger were taken to the hospital after a rocky ride onboard a Colgan Airlines flight.

The flight made an emergency landing at Dulles International Airport at 3:35pm Saturday on its way from Parkersburg, WV.

Airline officials told Fox 5 that the plane experienced severe turbulence as it descended, and the flight attendant and passenger both hit their heads.

There were 11 passengers onboard the 34-seat plane operated by United Airlines.
