Authorities say a Capitol Police officer was arrested and charged with unlawful entry after he was found sleeping in a woman's bed early Sunday morning.
Arlington Police confirmed to FOX 5 that 34-year-old Thomas Patrick McMahon was found passed out in an Arlington woman's bed around 1:00 a.m. The woman discovered him there when she returned to the home, which is located on North Randolph Street.
Police say McMahon, who was identified by Arlington Police as a Capitol Police officer, was intoxicated when he was arrested. He was not armed.
McMahon was charged with unlawful entry, and Capitol Police placed him on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal charges. Spokesperson Kimberly Schneider says they'll then conduct an internal investigation.
