Officer Shoots Suspect in Seat Pleasant

SEAT PLEASANT, Md. - Prince George's County Police say they're investigating after a police-involved shooting that left a suspect injured late Tuesday.

It happened in Seat Pleasant as police say they were following a stolen Toyota SUV. Officers attempted to pull the car over.

According to police one of the three people inside the vehicle was armed, and the driver tried to run over one of the officers. The officer fired on the suspect, who was hit in the upper body. He was said to be conscious and alert.

Police say there was a short chase and the suspects bailed out of their vehicle in the area of Pearl Place and Pepper Mill Road, but they were quickly apprehended. The suspect who was shot was taken to the hospital.

No officers were injured, and investigators say they're still searching for a third suspect.
