There's more trouble for D.C. City Councilman Marion Barry. Fellow councilmember David Catania is calling on him to apologize.
The city council announced Friday it is retaining former prosecutor Bob Bennett to investigate Barry's contract with a former girlfriend.
Bennett is a high-profile lawyer who may be best know for representing President Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones case.
The council is giving him subpoena power in the investigation.
The contract came to light after Barry was arrested on July 4 for stalking. That charge was dropped. He awarded the contract to Donna Watts-Brighthaupt late last year while the two were still dating.
Barry has defended the contract, saying he did not break any laws. He says he will cooperate with the investigation.
