Deputies: Va. School Monitor Was Drunk

A Loudoun County school resource monitor was arrested Friday for being drunk in a public school.

Officials from River Bend Middle School contacted the Loudoun County Sheriffs Office around 9:15 a.m. Friday regarding an employee that was believed to be intoxicated.

An investigation conducted by a Loudoun County Sheriffs Office School Resource Officer concluded the employee was under the influence of alcohol.

Police arrested Michelle T. Kassner, 43, of Sterling. She was taken into custody and charged with being drunk in public.

Kassner remains held at the Loudoun Adult Detention Center. She has been placed on administrative leave by Loudoun County Public Schools.
