Leo Alexander Enters DC Mayor's Race

A new candidate has jumped into the race for mayor of the District of Columbia.

He's Leo Alexander, a democrat, former TV newscaster and communications specialist with D.C. General Hospital and the D.C. Housing Authority.

Alexander announced his candidacy exactly one year before the 2010 primary election in the nation's capital.

D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty says he started to run for re-election about a year ago. The only other announced candidate is Sulaimon Brown.
