DC Woman Murdered in NY

A DC woman was brutally stabbed while she was visiting a friend in the quiet town of Bellport in Long Island. 61 year Nancy McKinley was discovered early Sunday morning suffering from multiple stab wounds to the body. 22 year old Robert Schiavo was charged with the crime and has entered a plea of not guilty. Investigators believe it was a botched robbery attempt.

McKinley lived in DC with her husband, former US Ambassador to Haiti, Brunson McKinley. She was a retired librarian who worked at National Presbyterian School until 2000.
