Authorities say the bodies of four people were found Monday afternoon in a Baltimore County hotel room, and police now confirm the victims are all members of the same family.

The bodies were discovered inside a room on the 10th floor of the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel on Dulaney Valley Road in Towson. Police confirm they received a call just before 3 p.m. after hotel housekeeping employees found the bodies in the room.

The hotel is located near Goucher College and the Towson Town Center shopping mall just inside the Baltimore Beltway.

A Baltimore County Police spokesman could not confirm the identities of the victims, but late Monday they confirmed they were a family. Police described them as an adult man, two adult women and a teenage girl.   Police also say they're not from the Baltimore area.

There's no word yet on what led to the victims' deaths.

A hotel spokesperson said the guests staying in the room were supposed to check out of the hotel on Monday but did not. Housekeeping later went to the room, and that's when the bodies were found.

Dan Dolan is staying at the Sheraton with his daughters, who are visiting local college campuses. The news of the four deaths left visitors like Dolan wondering why.

Corporal Mike Hill is a 20-year veteran of the Baltimore County Police Department, and a former homicide detective. He says investigators are confident there is no killer on the loose, but his experience has him choosing his words carefully.

"It is a possible murder-suicide, but sometimes things turn out to be something else," said Cpl. Hill.

The bodies of the victims were still in the hotel room late Monday, and crime scene techs were combing through every inch of evidence. The medical examiner's office will conduct autopsies on Tuesday to determine how the four victims died.
