WASHINGTON - Gina Paige, the President Of African Ancestry Inc. is on a mission to help African Americans track their ancestry through DNA.
On August 1st, they began a grassroots 'We Are Africa' road tour, stopping in 14 cities to hold free community events that celebrate historical, cultural, and genetic connections to Africa.
The DC stop is on Wednesday, August 11th from 6-8 pm at the Embassy Of Nigeria. There will be an African ancestry presentation, community dialogue, a performance by step Afrika and music by Ark Jammers.
They will be revealing the ancestry of DCc's Top Chef Carla Hall.
Cost of the test is $225 for the one day only. That reflects a $125 discount.
The purpose of the We Are Africa road tour is to raise awareness about the importance of knowing ones roots and to educate the community about genetic ancestry tracing.
