Smart Phone Zone - Yowza and The Coupons App

FOX 5's Lauren DeMarco joined us from our smart phone zone with a look at the apps worth downloading.
Yowza
Retailers are quickly realizing that shoppers can use their SmartPhones right inside the stores to do comparison shopping, so apps like Yowza are becoming the new reality. When you start it up, the app uses your location to find sales near you. Some even have a barcode or serial number the cashier can scan right from your phone!!! Some Yowza users complain that there aren't enough participating stores. But the deals that are available are pretty decent and the closer you are to a major city, like D.C., the more offers you'll find. Yowza is free but it's only available for iPhones or iPod touch.
The Coupons App
If you download the free, basic version, there are usually only a few coupons available at a time, but they always seem to be really good ones!!!
