WASHINGTON - FOX 5 reporter, Gurvir Dhindsa visited Baden Elementary School in Brandywine, Maryland. Her visit was to spotlight the students there who laced up there sneakers and hit the pavement for a good cause.
Baden students participated in the Vision Walk in support of fellow classmate Bjorn Brooks. Bjorn Brooks organized, Vision Walk, the challenge for Baden Elementary to raise money for kids with retinitis pigmentosa.
Although Bjorn lost his sight to retinitis pigmentosa he refuses to let the disease steal his spirit. Bjorn came up with the idea for the walk all by his self and the class which raises the most will join singer, Ginuwine for lunch.
Bjorn’s school raised $3,000 dollars in support of a foundation fighting blindness.
