Roz Plater

Yes you can go home again!

Calvert County native Roz Plater joined Fox 5 in the fall of 2004.

Prior to that, she spent a decade as a reporter/anchor in the San Francisco Bay area, eight of those years at CBS 5.

The two-time Emmy nominee has covered her share of California disasters, earthquakes, wildfires, and mudslides.

She's also covered the rough-and-tumble of politics in that state. Including the 2000 Democratic National Convention held in Los Angeles and the state's historic "recall" election that swept actor Arnold Schwarzenegger into the Governor's office.

Roz has numerous community service awards for her work with the American Heart Association and homeless veteran’s organizations.

She is a graduate of American University and has her Masters degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
