Claudia Coffey joined WTTG Fox 5 in July 2006 as a reporter.

Coffey previously served as a freelance correspondent based in Washington, D.C., for CBS Newspath covering several major news stories, including the nomination of Chief Justice John Roberts, President George W. Bush's 2006 State of the Union address and the congressional hearings on the federal response to Hurricane Katrina.

Before moving to Washington, DC, Coffey had been the 4:30 pm anchor and 10 pm reporter for WTMJ – TV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has also spent time as a reporter for WVUE- TV in New Orleans, Louisiana and was the 6pm anchor for KARK-TV in Little Rock, Arkansas. Coffey’s career began WABG –TV in Greenville, Mississippi as the host of Good Morning Mississippi.

Coffey has also shown her versatility as the co-host of Travel Channel's coverage of Mardi Gras. Coffey and former "Night Court" star Harry Anderson brought the sights and sounds of Mardi Gras to an international audience during a live three hour broadcast shown each year from America's wildest party. Coffey can also be seen as a news reporter in the 2003 movie "The Runaway Jury” starring Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman.

Claudia Coffey caught the TV bug while working for MTV News in New York City while still in college. As a news assistant to anchor Tabitha Soren, she worked on several award winning MTV specials including "Generation under a Gun" and "Conversations with President Bill Clinton."

Coffey has won several Associated Press awards in the investigative reporting, spot news and sports categories. She was the recipient of a 2004 Milwaukee Press Club award for feature reporting. She was also nominated for a regional Emmy in 2005 for her breaking news coverage of a tragic shooting at a Pewaukee, Wisconsin church.

Coffey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University, with dual majors in journalism and political science. She is currently pursuing her masters at Georgetown University.
